San Francisco - East Bay - Albany - Golden Gate Fields

Suitable for
Touring * Beginner *
Directions
From Interstate 580/80 going east outside of Albany, take the Albany exit and go under the freeway to the racetracks on the west. Take Buchanan Street to the parking lot.
Notes
Golden Gate Fields has a gigantic parking lot just begging for in-line activities. It's not the best spot for fooling around, since the pavement is rather rough and covered with debris, but that doesn't stop wild-haired windsailors from tearing across the pavement on tricked-up skateboards with sails. On the northeast side near the bay, there's a small, newly paved section where speedskaters have painted an oval track for workouts.
